APG Announces Appointment of New CEO

May 20, 2014 - Aircraft Performance Group, Inc. (APG), a global leader in flight operations support services, today announced that Michael Caflisch has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.

(APG), a global leader in flight operations support services, today announced that Michael Caflisch has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Caflisch will become APG’s first CEO and will focus initially on strategic opportunities and expansion for driving profitable growth.

I have no doubt that he is the right person to take the helm at APG as we build for the future.”

Caflisch has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, most recently as Director, Airspace Programs for Commercial Aviation Services, a unit of The Boeing Company. In this role, he was responsible for programs supporting flight optimization, airspace and navigation procedure design, and air traffic management.

Previously, Caflisch led strategy and business development for Jeppesen, a Boeing subsidiary, and for Boeing Flight Services. During his career in aviation, he has worked in numerous disciplines including aircraft performance engineering, avionics systems engineering and integration, software development, product management, marketing and sales, and program management. Prior to joining Boeing, Caflisch held key leadership positions with Honeywell and APU. He holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Management and received his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota.
